DIRECTIONS FROM ARLANDA AIRPORT
Only one hour by train. There are transfer buses from Läggesta Station to Mariefred. We can pre-book a taxi direct to Värdshuset if you would like.
THE BEST ROUTE FROM STOCKHOLM
BY CAR
Take the E4/E20 to Södertälje. Continue along the E20 towards Gothenburg. After just over 30 km, take Road 223 towards Mariefred. Follow the signs for the centre (centrum).
BY TRAIN
From Centralstationen (SJ) to Läggesta, travelling time 37 minutes. There are transfer buses from the station in Läggesta to Mariefred. We can pre-book a taxi direct to Värdshuset if you would like. In the summer you can take the steam train from Läggesta.
BY STEAMBOAT
In the summer the steamer S/S Mariefred sets sail from Stadshuskajen in Stockholm to Mariefred. Travelling time approx 3.5 hours.
